New Home, New You! Healthy Pantry Firsts

Not sure where to start with your new kitchen? You don’t need to break the bank but start with these pantry essentials and then purchase as you go depending on recipes you want to try. With these, you can be sure to make essential flavourful meals!

Healthy Carbohydrates

  1. Brown Basmati rice

  2. Quinoa

  3. Rolled or steel cut oats

  4. Legumes – dried and organic canned

Nuts & Seeds

  1. Raw nuts/seeds of choice

  2. Ground flax meal

  3. Nut/seed butters – 100% natural

Aromatics

  1. Garlic

  2. Ginger

  3. Onions

Oils & Vinegars

  1. Extra virgin olive oil

  2. Coconut oil

  3. Apple cider vinegar

  4. Balsamic/Red wine vinegar White vinegar (for cleaning)

Herbs & Spices

  1. Basil

  2. Chilli powder

  3. Cinnamon

  4. Cumin

  5. Curry powder

  6. Oregano

  7. Paprika

  8. Rosemary Sea salt & pepper

Miscellaneous

  1. Low sodium organic chicken/vegetable broth

  2. Raw honey or 100% maple syrup

  3. Pure vanilla extract Tomato paste Tomato sauce

  4. Packaged Soups – Amy’s, Imagine, Pacific Coast

  5. Canned tuna (in water)

  6. Baking soda
