Fall is here and temperatures are dropping, but the Toronto real estate market continues to heat up according to the latest September stats.
“Sales reported through TRREB’s MLS® System by Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® amount to 11,083 – a new record for the month of September. This result was up by 42.3 per cent compared to September 2019.” (www.trreb.ca)
What’s happening in the Toronto Condo Market?
We’re also seeing some interesting changes in the Toronto Condo Market. This year there’s been a 112% increase in condo listings from a year ago.
What is causing such a huge increase in listings?
The most likely contributing factors have to do with the decrease in foreign buyers due to low immigration, and the current owners who are selling to either buy a home and/or move out of the city entirely.
